Dr Aramburu is a General Pediatrician with 7 years of experience in the field of Academic Pediatrics. She is also Assistant Professor and the Medical Director for the Roosevelt School Based Health Center at Roosevelt Highschool in Washington DC. She completed a fellowship in Community Pediatrics and Child Advocacy at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital and has experience treating children with complex needs since 2012. She also holds a Masters in Public Health which she applies in her research and population health level work.
Dr Aramburu is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified for the American Board of Pediatrics. Her current focus is in trauma sensitive care for youth, immigrant health and reducing health disparities.
Dr. Aramburu is fluent in both english and spanish.
Dr Maria Aramburu, MD, MPH, FAAP was named Washingtonian "Top Doctor" 2018 for the Specialty of General Pediatrics.
Her clinical focus at this time is on Adolescents and Youth but she also takes care of Newborns and Nursery Rounds at Georgetown University Hospital.
