Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses Nomination

  • Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses 2017

The Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses recognizes the “superhuman work nurses do everyday.” The award was established in 2000, by the family of Patrick J. Barnes, as a way to keep his spirit alive. Patrick died at age 33 of complications from Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, leaving behind his wife and 2-month old daughter. The award represents their heartfelt appreciation to nurses “for the important difference they make in all the lives they touch.” Show someone who is an extraordinary nurse how much they are appreciated!

Submission deadline is close of business, Monday, March 27, 2017.
