Beginning March 6, 2017, a new security gate will be in place at the Canal Road entrance to the Georgetown University campus. This security gate was installed by Georgetown University in an effort to create a more secure and pedestrian-friendly campus by preventing unauthorized vehicles from entering the campus.
Only patients of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and patients participating in Yates Aquatic Therapy may use the Canal Road entrance, but they must have a document given to them by MedStar Georgetown to obtain access through this entrance.
