Dr. Paul Jones

MBSR Course Director: Paul Jones, MD, MAT, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, specializes in treating children and families living with chronic medical illness. Dr. Jones, who has been practicing meditation since 1993, received his initial training in teaching MBSR in 2003 at the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society, with additional training with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Dr. Saki Santorelli in 2006. Dr. Jones is also a graduate of the Meditation Teacher Training Institute (MTTI), a two year program sponsored by the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW).

Mary Ann Dutton, PhD

Mary Ann Dutton, PhD, Psychologist and Professor of Psychiatry at Georgetown Medical School, specializes in trauma and its effects. Dr. Dutton has been practicing meditation for over 20 years, and has trained to teach MBSR with Trish Magyari and Drs. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli. Dr. Dutton has received numerous NIH grants to research the impact of MBSR training in a variety of clinical settings.
