Celebrate a Nurse Award

  • Celebrate a Nurse Award

Know a nurse who is great but can't think of a category to honor them in? We invite you to share kind words about a nurse who has made a difference in your life or to acknowledge a coworker for their teamwork or patient care. Below is an easy way to send your personal “thank you.” We will make sure your honoree(s) receive the note of acknowledgement. Any MedStar Georgetown nurse qualifies and nominators can be fellow coworkers or patients and families.

MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute’s LIVER LIFE WALK D.C.® 2019

On Saturday, June 8, 2019 at The National Harbor we here at MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute in alliance with the American Liver Foundation will again host our annual charity walk for liver disease. Not only have past events been a huge success, they remain the continuation of a tradition that we hope lives on for many years to come.

With this we want to thank you for your support and donations to help end the fight against liver disease.

“Dunk a Doc” has been one of the highlights over the last few years – again thank you to Dr. Satoskar, Dr. Rangnekar and Dave Zwerski, VP of transplant, for jumping in feet first this past year! Next year we will see who is ready to get wet.

Liver Screening

Early detection of liver disease is important since significant damage may occur with few or no symptoms. Our program provides free liver screening for hepatitis Bhepatitis C and ALT levels (liver function).
