Becker’s Hospital Review has rated the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital as one of the top “100 Hospitals and Health Systems with Great Oncology Programs.” Becker’s editorial team selected the cancer center based on clinical accolades, quality care and contributions to the field of oncology. Georgetown Lombardi, a part of Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC), is the only National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Washington, DC area.
The medical centers selected for this honor are recognized for excellence in oncology by healthcare rating resources in addition to a history of cancer prevention and research. The Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center’s focus on patient-centered cancer care and cutting edge treatments and services further establishes its place in the top 100 oncology programs, noted Becker’s.
