All on-campus parking is paid parking. Parking discounts are available to visitors and their families. Validation stickers are required for all discounted patient and visitor parking; and they are available at physician offices, registration desks, admissions, Main Building concierge desk and Emergency Room Security (nights and weekends). Further discounts are available for outpatients in continuous treatment and inpatient families after four (4) nights of hospitalization. Visitors may park in the Hospital Parking Garage at Entrance 2. Valet parking is available at the entrances to the Lombardi and Gorman buildings at no additional charge. 

Parking Services will accept the following forms of payment at Garage 1, Leavey Garage, and Gorman Circle:

  • Credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express
  • Debit cards: Visa and MasterCard
  • Cash

NOTICE:  Construction Activities in Patient/Visitor Parking Garage 

To better serve our patients, we are renovating our patient/visitor parking garage (accessible via Entrance 2). The renovation work will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and continue through the end of 2018. Patients and visitors may notice certain areas of the garage sectioned off so that the construction work can be done in a safe and contained manner. You may also hear periodic noise in the garage from the work being done on the concrete surface. These renovations will allow for significant upgrades to the garage and provide you with a better parking experience in the future. We apologize for any disruption or inconvenience this work may cause. 

NOTICE: Closure of Surface Parking Lot (via Entrance 1)

The surface parking lot near Entrance 1 is now closed. This parking lot is now used only for cars that are parked by our valet service. We encourage you to take advantage of our valet services outside the Gorman and PHC buildings (see details below). If you prefer to self-park, you may park in the parking garage accessible via Entrance 2.

NOTICE: Vehicle Restrictions at Canal Road Campus Entrance

Only patients of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and patients participating in Yates Aquatic Therapy may use the Canal Road entrance, but they must have a document given to them by MedStar Georgetown to obtain access through this entrance. All other patients or visitors to the Hospital must access the Hospital via Reservoir Road.

Handicapped Parking

All parking lots have parking spaces designated for people with disabilities.

Valet Parking

At no extra charge, valet parking for patients and visitors is available Monday through Friday during specified times. All valet parking areas have covered entrances and wheelchair accessibility.

  • Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Entrance 1
    Monday through Friday: 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Gorman/Pasquerilla Healthcare Center, Entrance 1
    Monday through Friday: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Parking Charges and Discounts

For hourly/daily parking. Discounted patient parking ($3/hour or $7/day) is available for patients. To receive this special rate, please obtain a discount sticker from the physician's office, point of service or registration desk.

For continuing treatment (more than 2 visits per week). A $3 per day parking sticker can be purchased at the Parking Office located in Garage1, Level 3. Patients should request a letter of authorization from the department or clinic, and are authorized to purchase as many stickers as deemed necessary for treatment duration.

Discounted patient parking ($3/hour or $7/day) is available for patients and their visitors. To receive this special rate, please obtain a discount sticker from the Main Building concierge desk.

After 4 days - A $3 per day discounted parking sticker can be purchased from the Parking Office located in Garage 1, Level 3 or the Lombardi Center Valet parking stand.

After 30-day consecutive stay - Two free parking passes per patient are available from the parking Office located in Garage 1, Level 3. Additional passes can be purchased at the $3 discounted rate.

Exit and Re-entry

Exit and re-entry permits are available from the cashier on exiting the garage. Please note, re-entry permits expire at midnight of the issue date.

Vehicle Assistance

If you have trouble starting your car, please ask for assistance from a parking attendant. After 5:30 p.m., please call Protective Services at 202-444-3800.
