You helped us stomp out liver disease! On Saturday, June 8, 2019 our MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute in alliance with the American Liver Foundation hosted our third annual charity walk for liver disease.
Kai's rare liver disorder required a liver transplant to survive. She was placed on the transplant list but it was clear she needed a living donor transplant. Luckily Kai's father was a match and donated a piece of his liver to his daughter. Today, Kai is thriving.
