ATTENDANCE:  MBSR is an experiential program.  Attendance at all classes is essential for you to benefit fully from the class.  If you know ahead of time that you will need to miss more than ONE of the class dates or the retreat, please plan to attend a subsequent course.

 

Introduction to Mindfulness/MBSR Orientation Sessions

These orientation sessions (2 hours free of charge) are an experiential introduction to mindfulness, and at the same time, provide a detailed overview of the course.  They are designed equally for those who are curious about MBSR and seek information to help them decide, as well as for those who already are certain that they want to enroll, as an introduction and orientation. All sessions are held at 2115 Wisconsin Ave NW on the 1st floor conference room immediately to the left as you enter the building. 

ALL ORIENTATION SESSION ARE AT 2115 WISCONSIN AVE, FIRST FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM.

  • Wednesday, August 22 from  7 to 9 p.m.
  • Monday, August 27 from noon to 1 p.m. - Canceled 
  • Tuesday, September 18 from 7 to 9 p.m.
  • Monday, September 24 from 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Tuesday, September 25 from 7 to 9 p.m.
  • Monday, October 1 from 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Tuesday, October 2 from 7 to 9 p.m.

MBSR Summer 2018 (July - August) all sessions will be led by Dr. Paul Jones

Monday Morning Class

  • Dates: July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; August 6, 13, 20 
  • Times: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. except for the first class on July 2 is 3 hours (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) and last class on August 20.
  • All Day Retreat: Saturday, August 4 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday Evening Class

  • Dates: July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31; August 7, 14, 21  
  • Times: 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. except for the first class on July 3 is 3 hours (6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) and last class on August 21.
  • All Day Retreat: Saturday, August 4 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

MBSR Fall I 2018 (September - November) 

Wednesday Morning Class - Sessions will be led by Dr. Mary Ann Dutton: 

  • Dates: September 5, 12, 26 (skip September 19); October 3, 10, 17, 31; November 7 
  • Times: 9:30 a.m. - noon 
  • All Day Retreat: Saturday, October 6 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday Evening Class - Sessions will be led by Dr. Paul Jones: 

  • Dates: September 5, 12, 26 (skip September 19) ; October 3, 10, 17, 31 (skip October 24)
  • Times: 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. except for the first class on July 5 is 3 hours (6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) and last class on October 31 is 3 hours and 30 minutes (6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.)
  • All Day Retreat: Saturday, October 6 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  • All Day Retreat: Saturday, November 10 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
